  • This book is like a motif.
  • In these few chapters I have read, Nathan learns all about working and how it is that working for the white people really is.
  • When Nathan sees his buddys Bimbo and Tony shot, he thought about how dangerous it is being in the streets, and that one day he could be dead. But yet this doesnt stop him from living life like he does.
  • Nathan and his buddys would never stop the violence with the other gangs because it always goes back and forth.
  • This book shows how violence doesnt resolve anything.
4 QUEStiONS
  • Why doesnt Nathan try to get a job around where blacks live since he doesnt like white people?
  • When would Nathans gang learn a lesson from what they are doing which doesnt help at all?
  • Were the friends that Nathan had when he was younger his biggest influence which turned him from an A+ student to a gang banger?
  • Why doesnt Nathan learn from all the bad things that are happening and try to stop?
3 VOCABUlARy
  • Repercussion- An often indirect effect, influence, or result that is produced by an event or action.
  • Ambushing-The act of lying in way to attack by surprise.
  • Bodacious-Thorough; blatant; unmistackable
2 LitERARy tERMS
